Ancient Indigenous Pueblo Ruins in the USA
The "Anasazi" ruins has an indigenous history dating back to 10,000 B.C. These ancient pueblo dwellers built extensive and elaborate stone "villages" at several locations near the "four corners" area of what is now the USA, including Mesa Verde in Colorado, Chaco Canyon in New Mexico, Canyon de Chelly in Arizona, and Hovenweep in Utah. Pictured below is the impressive Cliff Palace of Mesa Verde National Park.
