Johhny Lifeson of Radio Metal Storm in Wodbury Connecticut says "Paul is an excellent guitarist and a very good friend of mine. I play him all of the time on my radio station which can be heard online at www.radiometalstorm.com ."
Scott Doser of Sage Mountain Sound in Colorado had to says "Paul is one of those rare individuals who has been able to rise above seemingly unsurmountable circumstances.
If you look at what is behind the music you will see many years of practice and dedication.
Paul had made many difficult choices to leave behind a road to ruin and unhappiness; choices that have instead brought to a place where the quality of his life, the well being of his family, and his musical accomplishments allow him to stand tall and be recognized.
With so right choices behind him, his music will endure and inspire.

Song Catcher Records Exit Wound is a one man band of considerable talent .... his guitar playing, in my eyes, is second to none. This whole album is full of complex fingering, great chord structures, energy beyond belief and for rock lovers an hour of pure enjoyment.
Unlike most metal rock that I have heard, I was able to listen to this album over and over again (probably because it is mostly instrumental) with great riffs and some serious bass lines I found it totally captivating. I point you towards 'Attitude Adjustment' in particular.
Never far from his Native American roots Exit Wound expresses himself through his music and tells the story of his life, sometimes angry, sometimes sad but always full of hope....This album is for everyone who loves rock who loves life. www.songcatcherrecords.ie/
Ronny North, Musician says "Paul Underwood is a musician to watch out for. He is an upcoming Artist you will be getting to know really soon. Get ready for Exitwound."

"Indigenous in the News" Interview with Paul Underwood from Billings Montana
Interview with Valencia Blackhorse, Navajo of Native Youth Magazine
Imagine being attacked by people you thought were your friends. Some, like Cheyenne musician Paul Underwood, compare it to a shark attack. That's also the name of his recently released album. Shark Attack features Underwood's extraordinary guitar playing. I was immediately drawn to the song “Blue Moon” (track 7 on the album). The album is mostly instrumental that captivates you while listening to his original sound.
I thought Shark Attack was an interesting title for an album, so I asked Paul to explain it further? “It holds a lot of meaning of fake people shaking your hand, being your friend, but waiting for a moment to attack. Fake people unfortunately are out there. Producers may promise, but they don’t keep it. That’s why I self promote,” Underwood said.
Underwood spent the last year and a half working seven days a week taking care of the elderly plus raising four wonderful children. His spare time, which is in the evenings, is devoted to creating and recording his music in his home studio in Billings, Montana. This explains the soon to be completion of his sixth CD Sands of Time. So what keeps Underwood deeply focused on his music? For starters, it's made a difference in people's lives. One of Underwood's patients recently approached him and said just listening to his music saved his life. Another form of motivation for Underwood is having a second chance at life.
Underwood spent 26 years of his life in the party scene. “I went through a lot of hardships and mistakes over the years. I’ve seen a lot in my time. But with the trouble that I got myself into, I’ve been able to overcome all the mistakes one day at a time," he replied. Underwood’s personal music favorites are Judas Priest, Scorpions, April Wine, Fleetwood Mac, ACDC and other '80s rock bands to name a few. The best time for Underwood to create music is in the evenings, a habit he formed three-and-a-half years ago.
Underwood started singing in his early teens and never took any singing lessons. He says he'd rather play the guitar than sing. Currently Underwood is working with a group called ‘Dangerous Lazion’. He plays lead guitar. The music is a blend of everything. 'Sacred Ground' is similar to their style of music. Last March Underwood's music was picked up by radio stations in Europe. Paul acknowledged there are not many Native American rockers. The only one he knew of was BlackFoot. They released two albums and that was it.
Lastly, Paul expressed a personal message to the Native youth. “At all costs, please stay out of the drug and alcohol world. This is one of my strongest statements. It’s from personal experience. For all Indian youth, find something you love to do; art, pottery, anything. Believe in yourself. It has to be 100%. There is going to be a ton of sacrifices. Dreams do come true”, Paul said.
