Introducing our all new Native American running team: the Spirit Island Runners

Polar Dash

Join Team Ortho for the Polar Dash 10K and 5K on New Year’s Day 2010!

Team Ortho hopes you can set a New Year’s goal of running with us in the Polar Dash on New Year’s Day. Registration is open for this winter event which includes 10K and 5K races.

Runners get a Polar Dash winter hat, running gloves, and our fancy new stained-glass Polar Dash Medal! The medal is pie-shaped with stained glass snowflakes in the middle. This “pie piece” will interlock with the other three medals from our 2010 races and can be put into a beautiful Lucite base! The base is free for those who sign up for the Monster Series of races by December 28th.

The Polar Dash is in a new location in Minneapolis – at the Shriner’s Hospital for Children. This location allows us to be inside and stay warm until race time! The 10K starts at 11:00 a.m. (enough time to sleep in!) and the 5K starts at 11:15 a.m. The route will take you along the east side of the scenic Mississippi River.

This year we will have child care too. For $15 per child, kids will be supervised and have the opportunity play inside the kids’ activity center at the hospital. Plus, they’ll get a Polar Dash winter hat. Register your child at the same time you register yourself for the race. It’s a win, win win: you get to run, the kids get to play, and you both get fantastic gear!

As always, we encourage people to carpool to the event. Register for the Polar Dash before December 7th and you save $5.00 on registration! And be sure to RSVP on our Facebook event page! See you in 2010!
